Advent Catechism

In the season of Advent we prepare our hearts to receive Christ as Emanuel - God with us, the Word made flesh. But why was the word made flesh? And how does this relate to God’s intention for his restoration of man and of creation? These central questions were taken up in the fourth century by the North African church leader and theologian Athanasius of Alexandria in his work On the Incarnation. Join us this Advent for a catechism class as we read this short book together over several weeks and discuss what it means for us today.

Kid’s Advent Catechism (2nd - 5th grade) will meet simultaneously during Advent in a separate class. Childcare provided for children 6 years old and younger.
